Title: BIPOC Open Mic Copenhagen- 1 Year Anniversary at Arabica! Description: BIPOC Open Mic Copenhagen celebrates it's 1 year anniversary through an exciting night of poetry, stories and reflections at Arabica.
We invite you to join us and bring along your friends! Expect a night of inspiration, warmth, charm and possibilities.
BIPOC Open Mic Copenhagen is a monthly open mic that centers the creativity of BIPOC (black, indigenous, people of color) folks, people who are racialized as non-white, and people who belong to minoritized communities in Copenhagen.
What can you expect for this 1-year anniversary event?
THREE amazing FEATURE POETS!
We are SO lucky to have Lesley-Ann Brown, Zaynab Ahmad and Sara Bedri as feature poets for this event! In addition to the amazing talent of these three incredible writers, you will also hear from community poets who are a part of the BIPOC Open Mic community who will come to the stage to offer original pieces of works.
This event is open to all. All proceeds go to Arabica - a local Palestinian owned cafe in Nørrebro.
We find that the world we live in right now is so tough, and being in community with each other to heal and nurture is especially important. We recognize the importance of community healing to continue the collective fight for a Free Palestine.
Doors open: 19h
Show: 19:30pm-21:30
(Show will start promptly at 19:30, we advise you to come before 19:30)
