Day 2 - October 27 (3 hours)

Talk: Minimalism and Simplicity in Kintsugi

Practical

Step 3: Cleaning the fillings
Step 4: Painting red urushi and sprinkling bronze powder (gold)

Due to the risk of smudging the golden lines, we recommend the finished works to be transported in a box or let dry in the atelier and pick-up later.

The workshop includes tools and materials. WHAT ELSE TO BRING?
A broken piece to repair
We recommended small bowls or plates, pottery in dark green or blue colours, as they complement the gold lines used in kintsugi, pottery with a smooth surface. (Not recommended: cups with narrow openings, unglazed pottery (on both sides; front and back), plant pots, large plates, vases, or pots exceeding 20 cm in diameter, especially if broken into more than 4 pieces, a box/Tupperware for transportation)
Additionally, if you want to work on an unbroken piece, please do not break it yourself; instead, bring it in one piece.
Looking forward to seeing you in Skabelonloftet!
