De leder efter en særlig lydlig følsomhed i miljøets kaotiske dimension. Intensivt, delikat, gennemtrængende, subtilt, radikalt. I juni 2023 udgav de deres debutalbum "Uragano" på det australske pladeselskab Ramble records.

BASS TO BASS er en kontrabasduo, der blev dannet i 2019, da Slawek Janicki inviterede Nina de Heney til Polen til et samarbejde. Et møde der førte til deres første album på Bocian Records.

Slawek Janicki
Slawek Janicki startede sin musikkarriere i firserne, hvor han spillede med forskellige bands. I begyndelsen af halvfemserne blev han medlem af kunstklubben Trytony (Swietlica Artystyczna "Trytony"), hvor han spillede med musikere som Tomasz Gwincinski og Jacek Buhl i deres formation, Henryk Brodaty. Disse kunstnere var de første til at spille jazz på en ny måde, kaldet yass. Denne tendens spredte sig snart til hele Polen og påvirkede mange polske musikere.
Nina de Heney
Nina de Heney er en af de mest indflydelsesrige musikere på improvisationsscenen i Sverige. En plads, hun cementerede for et bredere publikum i 2012, da hun modtog prisen som årets jazzmusiker ved den svenske jazzfest, og hendes soloalbum er blevet enstemmigt rost i pressen.

PERFORTO a duo for electric guitar and grand piano/drums, preparing instruments with wood, metal, paper and other materials. Through improvisation they explore the physical characteristics of a sound, such as pitch, timbre, intensity and its consequences over time. They are looking for a specific sonic sensitivity in the chaotic dimension of the environment. Intensively, delicately, penetratingly, subtly, radically. In June 2023 they released their debut album "Uragano" on the Australian label Ramble records.

Slawek Janicki
Slawek Janicki started his music career in the eighties, when he played with various bands. In the early nineties he joined the art club Trytony (Swietlica Artystyczna "Trytony"), where he played with musicians such as Tomasz Gwincinski and Jacek Buhl in their formation, Henryk Brodaty. These artists were the first to play jazz in a new way, called yass. This trend soon spread throughout Poland - especially the Baltic west coast region - and influenced many Polish musicians

Nina de Heney is one of the most influential musicians on the improvisation scene in Sweden. A place she cemented for a wider audience in 2012 when she received the Jazz Musician of the Year award at the Swedish Jazz celebration and her solo albums have been unanimously praised in the press.
